Attorney Bios Robert C. Bigelow Nashville, Tennessee
Born in Detroit, Michigan, and raised in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Robb joined Stewart, Estes & Donnell, PLC in 2005 after a three-year clerkship for the Honorable Juliet E. Griffin, Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. Robb graduated from Vanderbilt Law School (class of 2002), where he was President of its student body, the Vanderbilt Bar Association. He also received his bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University (class of 1999), cum laude, with honors in philosophy and a minor in vocal performance. During his undergraduate years at Vanderbilt, Robb was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, and is currently on the chapter's housing board after serving as the alumni advisor for over five years. In addition, Robb was the President of Vanderbilt's only all male a cappella group, the Dodecaphonics. Robb's practice includes representing both plaintiffs and defendants. On the plaintiff's side, Robb focuses on representing plaintiffs in overtime violations/collective actions brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act ("FLSA"). On the defense side, Robb has successfully defended governmental entities in civil rights and governmental tort liability cases in both state and federal court. He has also participated in various matters involving employment litigation, product liability defense, commercial litigation, and entertainment law. Robb is a member of the Nashville Bar Association and is the Co-Chair of the Homeless Committee for the Young Lawyer's Division. He is active in a number of philanthropic entities and events throughout Nashville, including the Phoenix Club (supporting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee), and is a member of the West End United Methodist Church, where he sings with the Sanctuary Choir and has made multiple presentations on behalf of the Older Adult Ministry Team.
